PED Compliance
The EU Pressure Equipment Directive came into force in 2002 and most refrigeration and air conditioning system must comply with it. It was a challenge for the RAC industry to interpret the directive and prove compliance.
We have worked with a number of contractors the ease the route to compliance.
We provide for example:
- Training for staff;
- A package of template documents for the design and technical files;
- A practical pressure testing procedure for strength;
- A look up table to ensure the correct pipe thickness is selected;
- Information to ensure efficient liaison with the notified body.
We ensure PED customers are up to date with changes to relevant standards and to the directive (coming into force mid 2016).
